David was already running late. His morning had been hectic, and he needed to leave his parking spot quickly to make his next appointment on time. But just as he started his car, he realized he couldn’t move—another vehicle was blocking his way.
He waited a few moments, hoping the driver would move, but the car ahead remained still. What was going on?
A Friendly Honk
Noticing that someone was sitting inside the car, David tapped his horn lightly. He wasn’t the impatient type, and he figured the sound would get their attention and prompt them to move.
To his surprise, instead of shifting gears, the driver responded by raising a hand—except it wasn’t a wave. The gesture was unmistakable.
David was taken aback. Why would they react like that?
A Frustrating Encounter
Still trying to remain calm, David rolled down his window and called out to the driver, explaining that they were parked illegally and needed to move. If they didn’t, he’d have no choice but to contact a towing service.
The driver, a young woman, rolled down her window as well, looking visibly annoyed. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she snapped back at him, insisting he should “mind his own business.” She even claimed she was doing something “important” and had no intention of moving anytime soon.
Tensions Rise
David’s patience was wearing thin. His job required timely deliveries, and every minute he spent stuck here meant he was falling further behind schedule.
Frustrated, he got out of his vehicle and approached the car, hoping to resolve the situation face-to-face. As he reached the window, he saw the woman absorbed in her phone, texting without a care in the world.
An Unpleasant Conversation
David knocked on the roof of her car, which startled her enough to drop her phone and finally make eye contact. Their conversation quickly became tense.
It didn’t take long for David to realize that she had no intention of being reasonable. Her responses were dismissive, and she exuded an air of entitlement.
A Surprising Statement
What caught David off guard wasn’t just her refusal to move—it was her attitude. She made remarks about how her father could “buy the whole company” David worked for and suggested that he needed to “know his place.”
David had encountered difficult people before, but this level of entitlement was something new.
A Final Warning
At this point, David saw no point in continuing the argument. He firmly stated that if she didn’t move, he would have no choice but to call the authorities to resolve the matter.
This was the first thing that made her reconsider. With an exaggerated sigh, she put her phone down, started her car, and finally pulled away from the parking spot.
A Parting Gesture
As David got back into his own vehicle, he tried to shake off the frustration. But just before she disappeared down the road, he noticed her hand sticking out of her window—making one final, unmistakable gesture.
David took a deep breath, choosing to let it go. There was no point in holding onto the negativity. At least now, he could finally get on with his day.
David was truly shocked by her words. He knew that this kind of person existed but he had never actually encountered someone like this spoiled young girl in his real life. Only when David threatened to call the police to resolve things for them did she decide to move. He knew that was probably more trouble than this discussion was worth, but it was the only thing she responded to.
Flipping the Bird
As the car drove off, David was still angry from the assortment of curse words the young woman had thrown at him. When he looked up from the wheel when he was back in the car, David saw her middle finger being raised high out of her window all the way down the road until he couldn’t see her vehicle anymore.
