By the time their journey ended, they would have far more questions than answers.

A Normal Day Takes a Disturbing Turn

The couple had been relaxing—John with a book in hand, Liz tending to her garden—when an ear-piercing scream cut through the calm.

John looked up just in time to see Liz recoil in fear, her eyes locked onto something on the ground. Rushing over, he found her frozen, staring at what appeared to be a small garden snake slithering through the grass.

As soon as he hung up, he turned to John.

Arriving at the hospital once again, the vet insisted they speak to Dr. Andrew, someone John and Liz had never heard of.

The receptionist informed them that the doctor was with a patient, and they’d need to wait.

Time dragged on. John’s nerves frayed. The vet paced the floor. Liz squeezed John’s hand tightly.
